Victim s Body Found at KSRTC Bus Stand

Mangalore: Leelavathi of Vamadapadavu had died from consuming organo-phosporous pesticide, informed COD Deputy Super-intendent of Police B G Kav-tikar quoting forensic science Laboratory reports.
Testifying before the Fast Track Court in Cyanide Mohan Kumar case on Thurs-day, he said that t he victim's body was found lying in a KSRTC bus stand in Mysore.
Elaborating on the investigation, he said that the team had gathered evidence to confirm that Mohan Ku¬mar had stayed with Leelavathi at a lodge in Mysore.
The findings were corroborated when Raju, work¬ing as a room boy in the lodge, had identified Leelav¬athi from a photograph shown to him, he said. - The accused after confirming her death, had returned to Vacate the hotel room along with Leelavathy's gold ornaments.

Said Nagesh of Umamahesh-wari lodging in Mysore had identified Mohan as having stayed in the lodging with Sunanda from Sullia.
The witness had identified Sunanda in a photograph shown to him, he added. During cross examination by Mohan Kumar, he said that the distance between the body and the toilet entrance was about 150 feet.
Conceding that there was a mismatch between the dis-tance mentioned by him and as shown on the map in the place of crime, he clarified that the map had not been prepared by him. Mean-while, the accused Mohan
was shown CDs of the spot-inspection with the help of a laptop at the courtroom.
Postmortem Reports
Mohan while defending himself, made it a point to insist on whether the postmortem reports revealed any sexual intercourse. On Thursday too, he sought an answer from DYSPs and the latter pointed out that postmortem focuses only on reasons of death.
