Kudroli Ganesh and Vilas Nayak reached to final!!


Mangalore, Oct 1, 2011 : Kudroli Ganesh’s team and Vilas Nayak reached to final at India’s Got Talent 3, which will be shown at 9:00 p.m. on Oct 1 on Colors TV.

These both artists impressed the judges through their paintings and magic, respectively.

Kudroli Ganesh and team, in particular, have amazed everybody by blending Tulu art forms, including bhutha kola, Yakshagana, in their magical show. Speaking to media, Kudroli Ganesh said that his intention is to promote the art and Tulu nadu culture through his magical performances.

The six finalists are Vilas Nayak (Mangalore), Kudroli Ganesh (Mangalore), Madhavas Group (Chandigarh), Sanjay Dhaka (Jaipur), BAD Salsa (Kolkata) and Suresh and Vernon Group.

Mangalore: National Consumer Fair (Karavali Ustava) is a eye catching center in Mangalore now. Fair is being held in the city over the past four years, this is one of the largest fair in India. Bearing in mind it is designed for the entire family. There are more than one hundred shops in Mela. Home use products, Automobile, Cooking Products, solar products, handlooms products, dress materials, handicraft products, fashion, shoes, health, Toys, Books and Stationery, food products and many other products available .

Broken boat found near Taniru bavi!!!



The beaches in Mangalore always “happening places” with several activities but today morining a broken boat found near Taniru bavi.

Source say that this happened while fishermen returning after undertaking fishing activity off panamboor shore on Wensday September 13 night.

But, still there is no any information found about boat fishermen.

Mangalore Baikampadi bridge brokend!!!!


50 years old Baikampadi is in a dangerous condition and bridge has come out due to heavy traffic and passing of heavy trucks on the bridge.

The fly over project of NH 66 is almost complete but the work on this bridge has not been started yet. The condition of the bridge has worsened.

District level drawing competitions for kids in Mangalore at Infosys campus.


D.K.Dist.Childrens Welfare Board authority and Infosys conducted a District level drawing competitions for kids in Mangalore at Infosys campus.

Around 140 students between the age group of 5-18 from 85 schools from all over the district have participated in the competition.

The function was inauguration by Beasant Ladies college Principal Dr.Manjula K.T.

The winners were awarded a cash prize of Rs.5000/-(1), Rs.3000/-(2) and Rs.2000/-(3). Also winners childrens got chance to participate in a national level Arts competition sponsered by Childrens Welfare Board.

Mangalore Air India crash victims entitled compensation of 75 lacks each

The Kerala high court on Wednesday ordered  to pay Rs 75 lakh each to families of the Mangalore air crash victims.

One year back Air India Express flight crashed while landing at the Mangalore airport, this is  one of the worst aviation disasters of the country 158 passengers killed in May 2010 mishap.

Ashwini Shetty Akkunje expressing her pain at remarks made by P. T. Usha,

Ashwini Shetty Akkunje said that she had never expected such remarks from P. T. Usha. Once again she said that she never consumed any drugs knowingly, she said that she is hurt about the fact that people have begun doubting her previous performances.

She expressed her pain at the derogatory remarks made by P. T. Usha, she said that Ashwin had covered 400m in 59.49 seconds at the Commonwealth Games and had improved to 56.15 seconds at Asian Games and this is a “superhuman” feat.

Ashwini Shetty Akkunje also expressed her opinion that P. T. Usha must have found it difficult to accept the fact that another athlete can match her performances and had therefore made derogatory statements against her.

Aishwarya Rai is pregnant

Bollywood actress and bunt girl Aishwarya Rai is pregnant, Aishwarya Rai married Abhishek Bachchan in April 2007. Her father-in-law Amitab has revealed this news in Twiiter.

Aishwarya Rai has not personally confirmed she is pregnant but she said there is nothing more to add other than what Amitab had said.

Mangalore Based Choreographer Ganesh Hegde marry stylist Sunayna Shetty.


Mangalore Based Choreographer Ganesh Hegde, got married to his six years long girlfriend, Sunayna Shetty, in a private ceremony in Mumbai, on June 5 in true Mangalorean style.

The newly-weds, along with their parents, hosted a grand reception at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai - a five star hotel later in the evening and the who’s who of the entertainment business turned up to wish the couple. Right from Amitabh Bachchan who was accompanied by son Abhishek, to Shah Rukh Khan who posed with his leading ladies Priyanka Chopra and Juhi Chawla, to the slim and svelte Shilpa Shetty, who made for a pretty picture with sister Shamita Shetty, everyone was here. Also making their presence felt were Alka Yagnik, Sophie Choudry, Raju Srivastava, Longinus, Raageshwari, Riyaz Gangji, Schauna Chauhan, Bappi Lahiri and Johny Lever. With good wishes pouring in from so many people, the couple couldn’t help feeling truly blessed!

Ganesh Hegde one of the top choreographers in Bollywood, born in a Bunt family in Mumbai. His father Kuttethooru Mithodi Gutthu in Mangalore Harish Subbaya Hegde and Mother Vidya Hegde, Hegde is best-known for his work in the Oscar-nominated film Lagaan and for his musical numbers in Company. Ganesh has choreographed many stage shows, namely Temptations 2004, the Bollywood rock concert which toured America with huge stars such as Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta, Saif Ali Khan and Arjun Rampal. Hegde is also known for choreographing of Michael Jackson’s concert in India. He has been associated with the Zee Cine Awards since conception and has been choreographing the Filmfare Awards for the past decade. Hegde’s famous choreographed sequences include "It’s Magic" from Koi Mil Gaya, "Dum" from Dum, and "Main Hoon Don" from Don - The Chase Begins Again. Hegde started a trend for the music video type execution in movies with Kambakht Ishq (Pyar Tune Kya Kiya) and Khallas (Company).


Talking about his life partner, Ganesh said, “I have known her for ten years and she is a great stylist and designer. She is the one behind all my shows and my dancer’s costumes. She was a performer earlier but she changed her profession. We started dating six years back and now we are getting married.”
